Unfortunately, a lot of phone services are still replacing broken LCD glass using LOCA ( Liquid Optical Clear Adhesive ), a liquid adhesive gel type with a very high risk to leak between surrounding phone components. This gel has a detrimental effect on plastics, corroding and destroy circuits. Most of the times, the phones repaired with LOCA are reporting a series of failures among which reduced touchscreen sensibility, decreased image quality and spots on the display.
DS Mobile is not using LOCA, but follows the original OCA procedure used by the manufacturers.
We use the latest equipment and techniques for the entire laminating procedure. First we remove the LCD assembly from the frame, then the broken glass from the display and lastly the original OCA adhesive from the LCD. The broken glass is replaced, the display is cleaned and degreased, and then, by applying the OCA adhesive the display is mounted through a stencil which is applied over the new glass, everything unfolding in an perfectly filtered environment that does not permit the entrance of dust. In the next phase the display is passed through a series of perfectly calibrated advanced equipment, where the display is stapled in vacuum and to remove any remaining air bubble, pressurized and stapled in new frames!
The advantage is that the customer benefits the same original display, refurbished to mantain its characterestics, following the original procedures used by the manufacturers
